Is this a good holiday to America?
Om tell me if I need to spend more days somewhere or less ok so yea I suppose I could spare a few days here or there. Los Angeles: 5 days Long Beach: 3 days San Francisco: 6 days Chicago: 6 days New York City: 10 days Orlando: 4 days Miami: 5 days Houston: 4 days Thanks any good or bad experiences at any of these places appreciated and I want to get the real Hollywood experience you know see all the sites as well as see all sites at Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Houston. Long Beach, Orlando and Miami are more relaxing times you know beach pool resort and some sights. Thanks. And any Hotel's you recommend and how much money should I bring for Accommodation, Tours, Flights and Souvenirs. I will have about $38,000 (1 Person). By the way i'm going to drive from LA to Long Beach then fly to San Francisco then fly to Chicago. Fly to New York, Fly to Orlando drive to Miami the fly to Houston then fly back to LA then home. Maybe malibu beach instead and I know orlando isn't near a beach but I did say resorts and pools as well.

For the most part, it looks fine. Not sure what you are planning on doing in Long Beach and Houston. In my opinion, I would skip both and spend a week in Washington, DC - there's a lot of museums and sights there. Long Beach isn't the place to go to the beach - there are better places to go to in the area, such as Venice Beach, Malibu, Santa Barbara, etc. Long Beach is more of a shipping port. Also, Orlando is nowhere near the beach - the main attraction there is amusement parks like Disney World and Universal Studios. Similar amusement parks are in the Los Angeles area too, so if you want to go, go in one state only. Once you finally nail down which cities you want to visit, then you can ask about specifics (hotels, tours, etc) on their specific answers boards here.

3 days in Long Beach..no way. I lived in LA 35 yrs and do not see any reasoning to this at all. I would land in LA, see all the many things there. Spend the bulk of the time there. You can take day trips to anywhere. If you want to see beautiful beaches Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Santa Monica, Malibu . Venice Beach on a Saturday is entertaining. Newport Beach and Marina Del Rey are Harbors ..they are beautiful. Hollywood is more a generic term than the city. Its not the "glamour capital of the world" as they say. You'll want to go to Universal Studios http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/park_overview.html I think its technically in Los Angeles, but close to Hollywood. Mostly all there is to see in Hollywood is the Chinese Theater--footprints of the stars...and the odds and ends people on the street. Then drive up to the coast hwy to San Francisco. Its one of the most beautiful drives in the country. Also, not sure why you'd go to all the trouble of flying to Houston on purpose. I'd go to Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex..if I wanted to go to Texas. Theres an extraordinary amount of things to do in Dallas. Just in Downtown Dallas alone you can enjoy many things

1 day in Long Beach, tops. If you're looking for a beach community than stay in Malibu, Santa Monica, Huntington Beach or Redondo Beach. Coronado Beach in San Diego is one of the best beaches in the USA. The Hotel del Coronado in San Diego is very nice and on Coronado Beach. Long Beach is a shipping port town not a beach town. There is a breakwater to protect the cargo ships which prevents waves and garbage from leaving the Long Beach area. Unfortunately Long Beach has some of the most polluted beaches in California. There aren't any resorts in Long Beach. The other cities look fine. $38,000 should be enough.
