I and my boyfriend live in different places. Next month, he is getting three weeks long vacation.?
This vacation is what he get within 15 months. He said first week is solely for me, the second week is partially for me and for his family, I mean, he will help with his sisters’ trading business but he will spend the night at my place. And, for the third week, he will go abroad with his sisters to see a trade show. Very recently, he said that on the first week, his family has planned a tour to a beach for 2 days. He is the one who has to accompany with them and arrange the flight and hotel reservations. He or his sisters do not invite me. Even though they invite me, I cannot go because I have to work and he knows it well. I have planned a day trip to nearby resort. I am not happy to let him tour around the beach without me, not only that, I do want him to spend the whole week with me as promised. If I raise this issue, I will be called selfish, which I had experience that I should not intervene his spending time with his family because I will have to be with him for life. I am so much in despair and don’t know what to say to him. Am I too much or he is not reasonable. Please comment. If there is time ask him if he can reschedule the beach trip to the second week so he can keep his promise to spend the first week with you. I think it was selfish of him to schedule it for the first week which he promised to you (and on top of that you were not even invited to go along!) when he has three whole weeks of vacation and he is spending the whole third week with his sisters. He is not being reasonable, you have done nothing wrong. If it's too late to reschedule then he should do something special to make it up to you. Unfortunately it sounds like he doesn't make you a priority in his life. I feel sorry for you, girlfriend!

if he is committed to making a distance relationship work, he needs to prove it by making seeing you a priority when he has the time. i would be annoyed too.

he probably whats to spend equal time with everyone. and im sure if he didnt want you to be a part of it at all he would let you know. be thankful of the time you do spend together and make the most of it. dont be complaining for more. its the quality of the time spent not quantity. but he should also inclue you in the family outtings aswell if it is a serious relationship.
