How long should it take to get from Inland Empire location to Long Beach Airport on a Thursday morning?
The flight is at 9:00 a.m. so need to be there around 8:00 a.m., I think. Anybody do this drive on a regular basis that knows how long it should take? Lake Elsinore, Ca which is just south of Corona. Sorry, and thanks!

It would REALLY help if you tell us what city! Corona? Riverside? San Bernardino? Come on! Help us help you! It matters because you take different freeways from different cities. Sheesh. From Lake Elsinore, it's 64 miles, and that will require you to take the "Corona Crawl". Also, the NB 15 gets pretty bad just getting to Corona. Figure 2 hours minimum. If you have a 9 AM flight, the conventional wisdom is to arrive 2 hours before the flight. Remember, the plane BOARDS 30 minutes before the flight takes off. The flight is in the air at 9:00. You have to allow time for parking, gettting to the terminal, check in, etc. Long Beach isn't TOO bad, but I still wouldn't rist it. Better leave at 5 AM.

blech ... what a nightmarish commute you have to deal with. See, if you leave too early, you'll get there with like 2 hours to spare, but if you leave too late, you'll have to sit in traffic the whole time and possibly get there too late. My sincere best suggestion is to get a room at the Holiday Inn that's within a block of the airport and get a good night's sleep, and be happy. Your only other option is to leave your home at 5am to arrive by 630. If you leave later, you'll be sitting in traffic the whole way and stressing about making the flight. This is a 90 minute drive in no traffic, so when you factor in any kind of delay and don't plan for at least 2 hours, you're setting yourself up for trouble. Best of luck !!

Since you will have to travel through the bottleneck from Corona to the Anaheim Hills during the morning "rush" traffic, you should plan on about 2 1/2 hours for the journey. Yes, really. It can take that long. I would suggest staying on the 91 to Lakewood Blvd. Exit there and turn left (south). The airport would be about a mile and a half down on your right at Donald Douglas Drive. Once you arrive at the airport it is literally about 300 feet from the front door to the plane. One hour before your flight at LGB (airline code for Long Beach) will be plenty of time to clear security and check in.
