You tend to get cheaper flights on travel days Tuesdays through Thursdays. You also have a better chance of cheaper tickets by booking as far as 7-21 days in advance, and you should also try to to book on Tuesdays and Wednesdays around 1am, when airlines decide to drop the prices for fear that not a lot of their business clients will fill up their flights. I checked Sidestep.com to see an example of that route and the cost and Expressjet had the cheapest fare at $283 for a week with a stopover in Reno. Like I said, the best time to shop for fares are early Tuesday and Wednesday mornings around 1am.

Check out farecompare.com, just put in your departure airport and destination, then search and select travel month, in you case june, the site will then tell you what days are the cheapest to fly.
