I am going on a carnival Valor cruise in April out of Miami, Fl. How long can debarkation take?
I need a realistic time-frame. The ship is supposed to dock at 8:00am but I know that the process can be rather lengthy. I will be flying out of West Palm Beach (PBI) so I would like to get an idea for the earliest possible flight time.

We just did a cruise this past weekend. We saw the Carnival ship coming in around 8. We took the Norwegian Sky. I think they start letting people on the boat around noon. We actually went to Miami on thursday, stayed on ocean drive in south beach and had a blast! Then slept in some, walk the beach, got breakfast and headed for the boat around 11:30 friday morning. By 12:30 we were on the boat and sipping a cool drink on the pool deck. You could always call Carnival and ask them to be 100% sure though.

The usual time that we go by if you are flying out of one of the area airports is not to have your flight leave before 1pm. This should give you enough time to get off the ship and check in at the airport without being rushed for time. Have a great trip!!

the people with the earlier flights get to disembark first, the rest of the people wait and get some breakfast until their deck number is called. The cruise line gives you plenty of time to make your flight, the thing that took the longest was getting our luggage in the claim area at the dock, took a while !! An afternoon flight would suit you best.
