Whats the best place to vacation in the U.S.?
For christmas, my grandparents gave me tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S. I live in California and I've been to every city nd beach in cali and a flight to Vegas is a waste of money cuz its so close. Where should I go? Im 16 and love the ocean, but I also love cities, so I'm up for anything - as long as im kept busy. What's the best destination with lots of fun stuff to do?

For Christmas time, you're either talking about the mountains or south Florida. I'd say North Carolina and a trip to the Biltmore estate and a side of sking. For further south, Miami or Key west for fun in the sun in the winter. Savannah's nice not in the winter. Atlanta can't be beat for night life, shopping and traffic. All in what you want.

Coolest place would have to be New York city. I assume you like shopping, NYC can't be beat for that. Times Square, Broadway and all the other fun stuff in NYC you won't be lacking for something to do. But no beaches. If you want beach action, I'd go to Miami Beach - South Miami Beach to be specific.

Salt Lake City, Utah. Definately. Utah has awesome mountains with tons of hiking trails, made beautiful because its springtime and all the flowers are blooming. The weather is usually a mild mid-60-something degrees. And Utah rocks!!!

I think I'd head to Sanibel Island or Fort Meyer Florida.

I would pay a little surcharge and go to Antigua in the Caribbean. We went there last Christmas and it was fantastic! We were sunning on the beach in 85 degree weather while everyone back home was up to their butts in snow! Had a great time. The surcharge shouldn't be all that much either. Have fun!
